Black Magic

Black Magic is an action game with role-playing elements set in the oppressed land of MariGold. The Red Warlock Zahgrim has turned the once-prosperous region into a bleak land after defeating the wizard Anakar the Wise and overthrowing King Tauraus.

Playing as an apprentice whose training was interrupted by the death of his mentor, you must search across the surface and underground areas of MariGold for Anakar's six scattered magical eyes. Returning them to Anakar's stone statue reveals the secret needed to reach and defeat Zahgrim.

Gameplay

• Explore a side-view world that scrolls in multiple directions.
• Travel between surface areas and underground locations connected by ladders.
• Battle creatures with limited arrows and spells, finding additional resources as you progress.
• Collect food to restore health immediately or save it for later.
• Free trapped prisoners by walking through them.
• Gain experience and advance from Apprentice to Wizard, Sorcerer, and finally Necromancer.
• Unlock more spell types as your character class improves.

Health is reduced when enemies touch or shoot you. If the health gauge is emptied, the game ends. Becoming a Necromancer is required to defeat Zahgrim.
