A post-apocalyptic motorcycle racing shooter

The briefing

About this game

Black Viper combines high-speed road racing with vehicular combat in a post-apocalyptic setting. Playing as the son of a lost freedom fighter, you travel between cities to help reclaim them from mercenaries serving the underground people who caused the nuclear war.

Each journey must be completed within a time limit while navigating crowded roads. An onboard gun lets you destroy many opposing vehicles, though tougher enemies require more shots as the game progresses. Between levels, the motorcycle can be upgraded in a shop.

The game features an arcade-style visual presentation, a jukebox for selecting soundtracks, and both OCS and AGA versions. It was released in 1995 for Amiga-family systems, including Amiga CD32 and Commodore CDTV.
