Blackthorne

Tuul was once peaceful until the evil warrior Sarlac seized control with the power of the Darkstone. Twenty years after being sent to Earth as his kingdom fell, Blackthorne returns to free his homeland and confront Sarlac.

Played from a side view across non-scrolling backgrounds, Blackthorne combines maze-like exploration with occasional puzzle-solving. Blackthorne battles enemies using a pump-action shotgun that can be upgraded, while bombs can damage foes, open doors, and destroy obstructions. Finding keys is often necessary to reach new areas.
