Blue Max 2001

Blue Max 2001 is an action arcade shooter and sequel to Blue Max. Set in the year 2001, the game puts you in control of a flying saucer tasked with bombing enemy targets while avoiding enemy saucers, ramming attacks, and ground cannon fire.

The screen border provides altitude warnings: yellow indicates dangerously close to the ground, red means you are hitting it, gray signals low but safe flight, and light blue shows that an enemy ship is at the same altitude.

Developed by Bob Polin and Synapse Software, Blue Max 2001 was released in 1983 for Atari 8-bit and Commodore systems.
