Blueprint

In Blue Print, you play as J.J., who has three chances to rescue a damsel in distress from a creature pursuing her across the top of the screen.

Guide J.J. through a maze of houses to find parts for the monster-fighting machine shown on the blueprint at the bottom of the screen. Some houses contain bombs that must be disposed of quickly. J.J. can sprint to move faster, but his limited fast-run time is tracked by a bar graph.

Smaller monsters emerge from the bomb-disposal pit and can disrupt the machine by starting it prematurely. If the machine is damaged, lure the monsters back to the pit and reassemble it before using the completed contraption to defeat the pursuing creature.

The Atari 2600 version simplifies the graphics and reduces the sound effects, while retaining much of the blueprint's detail. The game is categorized as Action, Arcade, Maze / Collect & Put, and Puzzle.
