About this game

Bomb Sweeper is a vertical, single-player Game & Watch title from Nintendo R&D1 and Nintendo's Multi-Screen series. The game uses an upper and lower screen and was not released in Japan.

Gameplay

Move John Solver with the D-pad to reach at least one bomb hidden within the walls. Players must navigate around walls or push them when the path is clear, with some stages emphasizing speed and others requiring careful planning.

Game Modes

  • Game A: Features a set sequence of maze layouts, including stages with no wall-pushing and more complex puzzles requiring careful wall movement. Each level has a 40-second time limit. Every 10 levels, a scrolling maze challenges players to avoid advancing walls and reach the bomb.
  • Game B: Selects maze layouts at random. The time limit gradually decreases from 40 seconds to 4 seconds, while the mode can continue indefinitely. There is no pause button, making quick reactions essential.
