Booty

Booty is an action platformer set aboard an old pirate ship overflowing with treasure. Players take the role of Jim the Cabin Boy and attempt to collect as much treasure as possible.

The ship is presented from a side-on perspective and contains 20 holds, each divided across eight screens. After clearing a hold, players have 45 seconds to escape and prepare for the next one.

Keys and Doors

Each hold contains numerous numbered doors, with a corresponding key required to open each one. Only one key can be carried at a time; picking up another causes the first key to return to its original location. Since enemies may be positioned behind doors, choosing the order in which keys are collected is an important part of the challenge.
