About this game

Bosconian '87 is a top-down arcade shooter released in 1986 as a budget-priced home conversion. Players defend a newly reunited people by battling alien craft above Earth.

Each wave contains several space stations, which are the main targets. A scanner helps locate them while the ship moves or stops in any of the four main directions. Rocks and alien enemies must also be destroyed, and fuel must be monitored throughout each wave.

Extra fuel and improved weapons can be collected, while docking with the mothership provides shielding. The game was developed by Binary Design Ltd. and Chris Caress, and published by Mastertronic Ltd. for Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, Commodore C64/128/MAX, and ZX Spectrum.
