Boxing Manager

Boxing Manager puts you in charge of a boxer’s progress toward the top of the rankings. Training decisions take account of strengths, weaknesses, damage from previous fights, and the abilities of the next opponent.

With 97 boxers to face, reaching the top is expected to take around 15–20 fights. Each bout involves selecting a suitable opponent, aiming for a high position on the Friday Night bill, negotiating the financial terms, and agreeing on a dare. Two governing bodies use subtly different rules, and success under one is not regarded as equally significant by the other.

Fights are presented through textual commentary from two expert analysts, whose descriptions indicate the important punches, which boxer is performing better, and how a judges’ decision might go. The player can also issue tactical instructions before and during each fight.
