Breakout

Breakout is an action arcade game based on the Atari classic. Players control a paddle along the bottom of the screen, reflecting a bouncing ball into a wall of bricks. Each brick struck by the ball is destroyed, and the objective is to clear the entire wall.

The game begins with five balls and ends when all five fall off the bottom of the screen. Variations include breakthru, where the ball passes through bricks; timed breakout, which challenges players to score as many points as possible within a time limit; and invisible breakout, where bricks are visible only briefly after one is hit. Other variations add ball-catching or directional control.
