Brides of Dracula

Brides of Dracula is a two-player split-screen action-adventure arcade game set in a church cemetery and the adjacent village. Players can control either the vampire hunter Van Helsing or Count Dracula, with a human or CPU taking the opposing role.

Objectives

• Van Helsing: Find thirteen tools, return them to his home, and store them in the cupboard to prepare for Dracula's defeat.
• Count Dracula: Find women, bite them, and lead them to the crypt to create thirteen brides for the waiting coffins.

Both characters begin with three lives and can be harmed by hazardous environments and non-player characters. Some threats are character-specific: ghouls attack Van Helsing, while priests and villagers harm Dracula. Collected objects, captured women, and each character's health bar appear at the bottom of the character window.

Developed by Toast Dept. and published by Gonzo Games, the game was released for Amiga in 1991.
