Brutal: Paws of Fury

Brutal: Paws of Fury is a one-on-one fighting game set on an island organized around a martial-arts contest by the Dalai Llama. Players choose from a range of animal fighters and battle through a series of duels before facing the Dalai Llama himself.

Combat includes punches, kicks, special attacks, and taunts that restore a small amount of health. Matches use a selectable number of rounds, and victories advance the player to the next opponent. A single-duel mode allows players to select the opponent and terrain, with support for computer-controlled or human opponents.

The game uses a deliberately cute visual style and features mostly outdoor arenas. On console versions, successful best-of-three bouts unlock new special moves; computer versions do not include this progression feature. The game was released in 1994 for Amiga, Amiga CD32, DOS, Sega 32X, Sega CD, Sega Genesis, and Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
