Bubble and Squeak

Bubble and Squeak is an action platform game in which a bald child navigates scrolling levels filled with ledges, enemies, coins, hidden areas, and environmental puzzles. Enemies release coins when shot, while progress through the stages requires careful movement and exploration.

Partway through the first of its 30 levels, a blue alien named Squeak joins the adventure. Squeak must be guided alongside the main character, but cannot jump as high, creating puzzles that involve leaving him in place while switches are activated or routes are prepared. Standing on Squeak launches the player into an extra-high jump.

Bubble Mode is activated by placing a coin in a Bubblegum machine and jumping on Squeak's back. It enables higher jumps, faster movement, and more powerful bubble-based weaponry. Between the main platforming stages are underwater, side-view shoot 'em up sections, whose completion awards bonuses.
