Buggy Blast

In Buggy Blast, the planet ENDRA is controlled by the LURGONS, whose power is concentrated in the Central Lurgon Corridor in Sector 8. The mission is to enter the sector and destroy 20 Lurgons, triggering a power reversal that consumes the complex.

The Buggy automatically launches and locates the correct sector at each stage. Pilots must monitor the Energy Counter, return to the Mother Ship to refuel, avoid or destroy Mine Jammers, and complete delicate docking manoeuvres. A Cycredit Rating system helps restrict pilots from attempting sectors beyond their capabilities.

Developed by Paul Hibbard and published by Firebird Software, Buggy Blast was released for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum in 1983.
