The briefing
Burning Angels is a vertically scrolling shooter released on December 7, 1990, for the NEC PC Engine and TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine. Developed and published by NAXAT, it follows the Burning Angels as they attempt to rescue the kidnapped leader of the Burning Project.
Players choose between two ships, destroy enemy formations, collect power upgrades and energy pods, and battle large boss craft at the end of each stage. The action moves through settings including a city, desert, and science-fiction enemy base.
