Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009 follows Flint Abrahams, a seasoned big game hunter pursuing deadly trophies across nine exotic locations, including the South American jungle, Alaskan wilderness, and Russian tundra.

Players face 25 dangerous animals, including lions, grizzly bears, Cape buffalo, rhinos, and jaguars. Missed shots can provoke attacks, requiring melee defense while nearby animals may join the assault.

The danger extends beyond wildlife, with plane crashes, treacherous rivers, avalanches, stampedes, and piranha-infested waters adding further challenges. The game was developed by Sand Grain Studios and published by Activision.
