Cabela's Dangerous Hunts: Ultimate Challenge

Cabela's Dangerous Hunts: Ultimate Challenge is a first-person hunting simulator for the PlayStation Portable. Based largely on the 2003 console game Cabela's Dangerous Hunt, it adapts the action for handheld play with additional control options.

Gameplay

In Story mode, players search for a missing old friend across forests, open fields, and snowy landscapes. Missions combine exploration, environmental obstacles, and fast-paced encounters with wildlife, often alongside an AI companion and short story cut-scenes.

Players can move freely, aim, zoom, strafe, and briefly slow time to line up shots. The arsenal ranges from handguns to heavy rifles, with limited ammunition, reloads, and supplies such as extra ammo and medikits found throughout the terrain. A secondary attack lets players push away animals that get too close.

Modes

• Story: A sequence of missions leading to the rescue of a missing friend.
• Quick Action: Short timed challenges in varied settings, including target practice and animal hunts. One scenario features dinosaur hunting from a helicopter.

Wildlife includes rabbits, lions, wolves, bears, and other species. The game was developed by Sand Grain Studios and published by Activision.
