Caesar II

Caesar II is a construction and management simulation set in ancient Rome. Players begin with a single province and work toward becoming the next Caesar by developing an efficient city and connecting surrounding villages with roads.

Successful administration requires careful management of water, policing, education, entertainment, baths, and temples. Temples also store money and may be robbed if security is insufficient. The province supports industries such as stone mining and grape production, with goods feeding markets in the city.

Invading tribes may also threaten the province, requiring players to defend their territory. Developed by Impressions Games and published by Activision, Caesar II was released for DOS, MS-DOS, and PC (Microsoft Windows).
