Cage Match

Cage Match is a single-screen wrestling game for one or two players, viewed from an elevated angle with the ring set in space. Players select a fighter and opponent before battling to climb to the top of the surrounding cage.

Combat includes kicks, punches, headbutts, and throws, with moves performed through joystick combinations. Both fighters have an energy gauge that decreases when they are hit. A fighter whose gauge reaches the red zone falls to the canvas, allowing the opponent to attack while they are down and attempt to climb the cage for victory. A standing opponent can shake the cage and knock down a climber.
