Captain Tsubasa

Captain Tsubasa is a Tecmo football game based on the Captain Tsubasa media franchise. Rather than presenting a conventional soccer simulation, it combines sports gameplay with role-playing and strategy elements.

Matches are shown cinematically, with players selecting moves from menus within a limited time. The game originated in Japan under the Captain Tsubasa name and was known in Europe as Tecmo Cup Football Game and in America as Tecmo Cup Soccer Game.
