As rookie ACME detective Cole Gannon, players pursue Carmen Sandiego after discovering GPS coordinates linked to a New York museum and a plot involving stolen tribal drums.

The adventure spans nine locales, from New York to Thailand. Players explore areas, collect compasses and puzzle pieces, defeat enemies to obtain key codes, and unlock forcefields blocking further progress. Cole uses a staff, dart gun, stealth, and movement abilities including double jumps, pole vaulting, tightrope walking, ledge hanging, and zipline traversal.
