CarnEvil

CarnEvil is an arcade shooter set in Greely Valley, Iowa. After Jacob and his friend Lisa place a golden token in the jester's head atop Professor Ludwig von Tökkentäkker's tombstone, a long-vanished haunted amusement park rises from the cemetery.

Armed with a shotgun from the entrance shooting gallery, Jacob fights through the Haunted House, Rickety Town, and Freak Show, facing hordes of enemies, periodic sub-bosses, and a boss at the end of each attraction. He then enters the Big Top before confronting Tökkentäkker and his jester Umlaut aboard a zeppelin.

Developed and published by Midway Games, CarnEvil was released for arcade play in 1997.
