CART Fury Championship Racing is an arcade-focused racing game developed by Midway Games and based on Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART). Originally released in arcades, it was also released for PlayStation 2.
Rather than aiming for true simulation, the game emphasizes fast, dramatic action with spectacular crashes, spin-outs, speed-draining slides, and tailgating. Events take place on road courses, street courses, and oval tracks.
Three difficulty settings—Easy, Medium, and Hard—let players compete against AI-controlled opponents at a suitable skill level.
