Cheesy

Cheesy is a platform game developed and published by Ocean, released on November 15, 1996, for Atari Jaguar and PlayStation.

You control Cheesy, a mouse captured by a mad scientist and imprisoned in a cage. After a miniature alien UFO knocks the cage over, Cheesy escapes and must collect the ingredients for a teleportation spell to flee the castle.

Gameplay

The game combines action platforming with jumping, enemy stomping, and gunplay. Cheesy navigates hazards such as flaming Bunsen burners, spilled chemicals, spiders, flying creatures, and giant rolling eyeballs. Its varied stages include a mine cart ride, a UFO chase through a library, flying on a dragon, leaf surfing in the sewer, and climbing a fiery furnace.

Encounters

Bosses include a giant spider, a steaming tea pot, a fire-breathing dragon, and Mr. Chem, the mad scientist. Cheesy also rides on top of the UFO while dodging objects and faces dangerous experiments throughout the castle.
