Chrono Quest is an adventure game that combines elements of modern point-and-click adventures with graphics-enhanced interactive fiction. The story begins around 1920 in the mansion of the protagonist’s father, who has been murdered, leaving the protagonist as the main suspect.

While exploring the mansion, the player discovers a time machine and begins pursuing the murderer through the ages. Gameplay uses various icons positioned around the screen border to control exploration and interaction.
