Chuck Rock II: Son of Chuck follows Junior, the son of Chuck and Ophelia, after a rival manufacturer kidnaps his father. Junior must travel through a side-scrolling platform adventure to rescue him.

Gameplay is similar to the first game, combining platforming with occasional rock-moving puzzles. Junior uses a club with greater attack reach than Chuck's original attacks.
