Its stages span a variety of surfaces and locations, including gravel and tarmac in Kenya, gravel and mud in Finland, snow and ice in Sweden, loose pea gravel in Australia, tarmac and mud in Japan, Corsica in France, rough gravel in Greece, and tarmac in Italy. The United Kingdom includes tarmac, mud, and gravel stages.
