About this game

Command & Conquer, also known as Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, is a real-time strategy game set in an alternate modern-day history. The Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of Nod compete for control of Tiberium, a mysterious substance spreading across the world.

The Brotherhood of Nod is led by the mysterious Kane, while the Global Defense Initiative represents the United Nations. The game features live-action full-motion video cutscenes, including an appearance by Joseph D. Kucan as Kane.

Command & Conquer was developed by Westwood Studios and published by Virgin Interactive. It is the first game in the Command & Conquer series and is recognized for helping define and popularize the real-time strategy genre.
