About this game

Community Chest is a compact board game based on Monopoly, in which players compete against the computer to build wealth without going bankrupt.

Gameplay

The board contains 16 squares, including 13 London street spaces, Community Chance, Jail, and Go. Players take turns rolling a die and moving their counters. Unowned streets can be purchased, while completing a street set allows houses to be bought and placed on its properties.

Landing on a street owned by the other player requires paying rent. The amount depends on the street's value and whether it has houses. Community Chance spaces trigger incidents that may increase or reduce a player's money, while Jail requires payment of a fee. Passing Go awards £2000.

A player loses when they go bankrupt.
