Crazee Rider

Crazee Rider is a motorcycle racing game developed by Kevin Edwards and published by Superior Software for the BBC Microcomputer System. Originally conceived as a car racer, it became a motorcycle-focused spiritual successor to Overdrive.

Races begin with the player in 60th position. To advance, they must finish within the top six during a single-lap event. Tracks include bends and offer more opportunities to avoid rival riders than in Overdrive. Players control acceleration and braking with two keys, while two others handle steering.

Riders can score bonus points by clipping the sides of opponents, although this does not slow them down. Rear-end collisions significantly reduce the player's speed, as does striking the curb while cornering too quickly. A track mini-map and score appear near the top of the screen, while current position and speed are displayed at the bottom.

The BBC Micro release includes standard and enhanced versions. The enhanced version features different colours, greater variety in opponents' clothing, and a music track.
