Crazy Balloon

Crazy Balloon challenges players to guide a box tied to a continually swinging balloon through a maze filled with spikes. Using a four-way joystick, players move toward the goal while avoiding contact between either the box or balloon and the hazards.

Points are awarded as the box advances toward the goal, while backtracking earns no points. Green and purple sections of the maze offer additional scoring opportunities when both the box and balloon pass through safely. There is no time limit, but waiting too long causes a face to appear and blow the balloon into the spikes.

As mazes are completed, individual spikes or the entire maze may begin moving or scrolling. Crazy Balloon was released in 1979 for arcade systems and is also available on Commodore 64 and Final Burn Alpha Neo.
