About this game

Cup Football is a football management game released in 1989 for Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, and Commodore C64/128/MAX. Choose from 40 European teams and attempt to win a cup competition.

Management

The competition begins with eight groups of five teams. You must qualify for the knockout stages while managing your squad and club finances.

  • Adjust your lineup to fit different formations.
  • Train players individually, with results that may improve or reduce their abilities.
  • Buy and sell players through the transfer market.
  • Review expenses and scouting reports.
  • Bet on upcoming matches by predicting their scores.

Matchday

Matches are presented through text as the clock advances and major incidents are reported. During a game, you can make substitutions and change tactics. After the match, a scout may provide details about an available player, while other teams may show interest in your players.
