Cyborg 009

Cyborg 009 is a 1993 action, platform, and shooter game developed by BEC and Telenet Japan and published by BEC and Riot.

Its story combines elements from the manga arcs Assassins, Mythos, and The Underground Empire of Yomi. FMV cutscenes largely use character designs associated with Cyborg 009 The Movie: Legend of the Super Galaxy, while 001 retains white hair from the manga. Key voice roles were reprised by the film’s voice cast.

The soundtrack primarily draws from the 1960s animated works, particularly Cyborg 009 Monster Wars, with one track from the 1979 series used during the climax. The story concludes with 009 and 002 burning up while re-entering the atmosphere, appearing as a shooting star to two children.
