About this game

Daichikun Crisis: Do Natural is a 1989 real-time strategy and farming simulator for the NEC PC Engine. Players control Daichikun, the eldest son of a family of anthropomorphic cows, as they cultivate Moo Cow Island, explore its surroundings, and respond to monster attacks and toxic volcanic ash.

Gameplay

Farming is shaped by a fast seasonal cycle in which one minute represents a month. Different crops perform better or worse depending on the time of year, encouraging careful planning. Daichikun can pilot the flying Geiger No vehicle to travel quickly and clear ash, although it cannot attack.

Family members Hokkaido, Suzuran, Oozora, and Marimo, along with Goro the bear and Alice the crow, are AI-controlled companions. They follow Daichikun until they find tasks to complete. As the game progresses, new elements such as a port town and power-ups become available.
