About this game

Day of the Tentacle is a point-and-click adventure released in 1993 by LucasArts Entertainment Company. Set five years after Maniac Mansion, the story follows Purple Tentacle, a mutant laboratory creation whose exposure to toxic sludge gives him increased intelligence and ambitions of global domination.

When Dr. Fred Edison plans to kill Purple Tentacle and his friendly brother Green Tentacle, Green calls on his old friend Bernard Bernoulli. Bernard arrives at the Edison family motel with his housemates, medical student Laverne and roadie Hoagie, and frees the tentacles—allowing Purple Tentacle to escape and continue his quest to take over the world.
