About this game

Dead Heat Scramble is a racing game for Game Boy in which players choose between a sand rail, dune buggy, or off-road truck and race through rough, slippery half-pipe courses.

The game features ten stages unlocked in linear order. In single-player mode, races are held against the clock while players steer around blockades and other drivers. Bumping into rival vehicles carries no penalty, and overtaking opponents earns points.

Power-ups include nitro for increased speed, a tire that improves steering, a clock that stops time, and a bomb that grants firepower. Two Game Boy systems can also be connected for direct multiplayer races.
