About this game

Dead Zone is a futuristic digital comic and text adventure game developed and published by Sunsoft. Set in space calendar 0385, it follows Kirk, an engineer for the Earth Federation’s space development office, as he travels to meet his fiancée Marry at a colony space station.

Instead, Kirk finds the station deserted and is struck by a beam of light. He later awakens in an underground graveyard surrounded by dismantled robots, accompanied by his robot Carry.

The game presents large views of its surroundings alongside commands such as see, take, and push. Its text and commands are in Japanese, and it features real sampled sounds. Dead Zone was released for the Family Computer Disk System and Nintendo Famicom Disk System on November 20, 1986.
