A classic Caribbean treasure-hunting text-and-graphics adventure

The briefing

About this game

In Death in the Caribbean, you play as a treasure hunter searching an unnamed Caribbean island for buried pirate gold and a chest of doubloons.

The adventure combines descriptive text with gradually drawn graphics, while a command line handles player input. Exploration takes you through numerous locations and a tricky maze, with fierce alligators adding to the hazards.

Puzzles include familiar object-and-situation challenges as well as a difficult cryptogram. Their complexity increases throughout the approximately 30-hour adventure, eventually reaching deliberately demanding levels.
