About this game

Deuteros: The Next Millennium is a sci-fi strategy and simulation game published by Activision and developed by Software Studios. As the sequel to Millennium 2.2, it combines space exploration with resource gathering and planetary logistics while offering a distinct style of gameplay.

Gameplay

The objective is to mine and manage resources, explore the Solar System and beyond, and coordinate supplies between planets and factories. Shuttles and long-range spacecraft support the movement of materials and personnel, while newly established bases require teams of Producers to construct essential infrastructure.

Up to 6,000 civilians can be trained as Producers, Researchers, or Marines. Teams improve through three experience levels, unlocking greater effectiveness and allowing certain inventions or military roles to be handled more efficiently. Milestone events introduce new technologies for the scientists to research, including automation computers and teleportation, gradually reducing the amount of routine management as the focus shifts toward war.
