Devastator

Devastator is a Sega CD run-and-gun platformer with horizontally scrolling shoot-'em-up segments. The story follows Ryo, who is transported to another dimension during a test ride and joins mecha pilots fighting the creatures known as Devastators.

Players control a humanoid mech equipped with a mid-range chain-sickle weapon and one long-range weapon. Defeated enemies drop upgrade items, while collecting a different weapon replaces the currently equipped long-range weapon. Each level leads to a boss battle, with the action shifting between platforming and shoot-'em-up gameplay.
