Dezaemon

Dezaemon is a shoot-'em-up design application for the Family Computer and Nintendo Famicom. Players can create their own vertical-scrolling shooter by customizing the player ship, designing up to three stages, creating a title screen, composing background music, and listing game credits.

The application also includes E.D.I.T., a sample shooter with three stages. Players battle waves of enemies and a boss at the end of each stage while collecting items that can increase ship speed, provide a defensive shield, or upgrade weapons from a Vulcan cannon to lasers or missiles.
