Dig 'em

Dig 'em is a single-player arcade game for the Apple II. Players dig through underground dirt while avoiding two types of monsters that continually pursue them.

An air pump can inflate monsters until they explode, while scattered rocks can be used to squash them. Monsters that fail to find the player for several seconds become invincible ghosts capable of moving through the earth.

Players advance by defeating every monster on a level. The game ends after all four lives are lost.
