A manic vertical-scrolling shooter from Raizing
The briefing
Dimahoo is a 2D vertical-scrolling shoot'em up developed by Raizing and released in 1999. It is the third game in a series that also includes Sorcer Striker and Kingdom Grandprix.
Set against a goblin invasion emerging from the underworld, the game supports up to two players. Players can choose from four avatars: Solo Bang the Warrior, Karte the Sorceress, Miyamoto the Dragon, and Grimlen the Necromancers. Four additional secret characters can be accessed with a secret combination.
Players fly forward through enemy-filled stages, battling standard enemies and bosses while collecting items. Each hero has an upgradable basic weapon and bombs. The colour system represents elemental effects that can increase damage against enemies or reduce damage taken by the player.
Dimahoo was released for Arcade, Capcom Play System II, and Final Burn Alpha Neo.
