A dinosaur strategy board game with beat-'em-up combat

The briefing

About this game

Dino Wars is a strategic board game inspired by chess and Archon. Played on a 9x10 board, it challenges players to move different dinosaurs and capture opposing pieces.

When one dinosaur moves onto a square occupied by an opponent, the game shifts into an action scene. Players must defeat the opposing dinosaur in a beat-'em-up battle to claim the square. Each dinosaur has individual movement restrictions, strategies, and combat skills based roughly on the properties of real dinosaurs, making matchup knowledge an important part of the overall strategy.

The action scenes can also be played independently from the main strategic game.
