About this game

Dizzy: The Ultimate Cartoon Adventure is the first game in the Dizzy platform series. Players control Dizzy as he searches for four ingredients—a Leprechaun's Wig, a Cloud's Silver Lining, a Vampire Dux Feather, and Troll Brew—to create a potion capable of defeating the evil wizard Zaks.

The game combines platforming with item-based exploration. Its world extends in all four compass directions, while obstacles and the items needed to overcome them are often far apart. Dizzy can carry only one item at a time, making backtracking a central part of progression. Monsters and environmental hazards populate the stages, and some items can be used offensively; carrying birdseed, for example, allows Dizzy to destroy birds he touches.
