The briefing

About this game

DJ Boy is a side-scrolling beat ’em up released in 1988. DJ Boy must battle the town’s local goons and rescue his kidnapped girlfriend across multiple rounds, each ending with a boss fight.

His attacks include punches, kicks, a combined flying attack, and a move that strikes both sides simultaneously. Defeated enemies leave coins, which can be exchanged at the end of each stage for items such as a skateboard or a stronger punch.

The game has a friendly visual style but a notably unforgiving difficulty. DJ Boy has four life bars, and the game ends when they are depleted.
