About this game

DNA Warrior is a horizontally side-scrolling shoot-'em-up developed by Michael J. Lister and published by Artronic Products. Released in 1989, it follows a miniature navy assault ship injected into the bloodstream to stop an uncontrolled DNA experiment before the brain explodes.

Players battle blood cells and other bodily defenses while navigating inter-cellular junctions, some of which require keys. Eight pieces of a growth inhibitor must be collected before reaching the brain. Plasma spheres provide ship and weapon upgrades, with the space bar used to select the next upgrade. The display includes an energy gauge, score, and the current ship upgrade.
