A Luigi-themed puzzle game in the Dr. Mario series

The briefing

About this game

Dr. Luigi is the sixth installment in the Dr. Mario series and stars Luigi. Released exclusively through the Nintendo eShop for Wii U on December 31, 2013, it offers puzzle and strategy gameplay similar to the original Dr. Mario.

Gameplay

Players eliminate viruses by stacking Megavitamins and forming rows of four or more pills of the same color. The game introduces Operation L, a mode based around multicolored L-shaped pills.

Combo effects also differ in Operation L: instead of sending half-Megavitamins to an opponent, a combo switches the colors of the opposing player's upcoming Megavitamin. Completing the 20th level at high speed in each mode, excluding multiplayer, triggers the credits.
