Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies is an adventure role-playing game for Nintendo DS, developed by Level-5 and published by Square Enix. Released on July 11, 2010, it follows a city guardian sent to retrieve the wish-granting fruits of a sacred tree.

Players travel across the world, battle monsters, meet a colorful cast of characters, and pursue an epic storyline. Special modes support local wireless cooperation for up to four players, with each participant using their own character to tackle monsters and dungeons.
