About this game

DragonHeart: Fire & Steel is a 1996 2D side-scrolling beat ’em up based on the film of the same name. Players control a retired knight and former dragonslayer who returns to action when an evil prince’s tyranny threatens the land.

With help from the last surviving dragon on Earth, the knight punches, kicks, and slashes through multiple levels filled with weak and powerful enemies. Each stage ends with a boss battle that must be won to continue the quest.

The game uses rendered backgrounds and digitized character graphics, presented in a low-resolution display. It was developed by Funcom and Torus Games and published by Acclaim for Nintendo Game Boy, PC (Microsoft Windows), PlayStation, and Sega Saturn.
